Latin American and Latinx Architecture: A Special Exhibition
September 15, 2022
Location
Charlotte and Richard McNeel Architecture Gallery, Giles Hall
This exhibition celebrates Latin American architecture and the work of Latinx architects in the U.S. and around the world. It showcases images of Latin American cities and modern architecture from the twentieth and twenty-first century including a broad range of public buildings, social housing projects, and private residences.
The exhibition provides an insight on the production of urban and architectural form considering a variety of architectural language and modern styles. We hope the work of this exhibition contributes to conversations about transnational linkages in the Americas.
Five architecture students worked on the exhibition: Elisa Castaneda, Jacqueline Enriquez, Jamie Ferreras, Arturo Hernandez, and Evelyn Ramirez.
Opening Reception: Sept. 19, 12 p.m.
