Honoring the Class of 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school had to make the unprecedented decision to cancel the in-person ceremony and move to an online recognition.

The work – originally planned to be on exhibition between March 12 and August 1, 2020 – will be available for viewing when the museum reopens.
Laura Mitchell, coordinator of advising/admissions and computing for the School of Architecture, was one of twenty-nine Mississippi Â鶹´«Ã½ staff members to graduate from the university’s prestigious Leadership Excellence for Accomplished Professionals program this year.
The program included professional presentations featuring case studies of recent work in this field and hands-on drawing to explore the grammar of the classical elements and their application on the campus of Mississippi Â鶹´«Ã½.
The Institute of Classical Architecture and Art (ICAA) held a workshop on Feb. 28-29 at Mississippi Â鶹´«Ã½ University.
Sponsored by Dan and Gemma Camp, the workshop introduced classical architecture as a living language to encourage appreciation of the enduring forms that shape our built environment.

George B. Johnston, Ph.D., is a 1979 graduate of the Mississippi Â鶹´«Ã½ University School of Architecture. His second book, Assembling the Architect, was recently released by Bloomsbury.
