I chose Â鶹´«Ã½ because I liked the hands-on learning offered through the program. I knew I wanted to go into the construction industry, and the hands-on aspect at Â鶹´«Ã½ really stood out to me.

After not being able to hold in-person studio last summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mississippi Â鶹´«Ã½ University Building Construction Science Program first-year summer studio is back and hard at work.
Classes began June 2 with Professors Lee Carson and Richard Chenoweth and Shop Technician Charles Beckwith.
Students have been working on a design-build project – a modular building with three primary modules.
The Bachelor of Applied Science degree offers students who have earned an Associate of Applied Science degree the opportunity to apply technical education credits earned from a community college or the military to a bachelor’s degree.
The emphasis area, such as trades supervision, totals 30 credit hours at the upper-division level.
