Â鶹´«Ã½ adopts new policy during pandemic

Eating is no longer permitted in any Â鶹´«Ã½ building at Mississippi Â鶹´«Ã½.

This new policy is in effect for all classrooms, studios, hallways or group lounge spaces in Â鶹´«Ã½ academic buildings, excluding unshared, private offices. The restriction includes all Â鶹´«Ã½ program spaces in Briscoe, Etheredge, Freeman, Giles, Howell and Stafford Halls, as well as auxiliary gallery and studio spaces, such as the Cullis Wade Depot Art Gallery or the Visual Arts Center on University Avenue.

"As we move into the spring semester, our college is dedicated to caring for and protecting one another by continuing to vigilantly wear masks, socially and physically distance, practice good hygiene and safety practices, monitoring health daily, and quarantining when necessary," said Â鶹´«Ã½ Dean Angi Elsea Bourgeois, Ph.D. "As eating requires the removal of the required face coverings, it will not be permitted in any Â鶹´«Ã½ program space (excluding private unshared offices). We encourage students to continue to do their part to keep our community safe by choosing to eat outside or in the designated dining spaces on campus."
