Are you interested in Graphic Design? Do you plan on applying to the Graphic Design Concentration? If so, join us for the 2024 Graphic Design Portfolio Review Workshop on Thursday, October 3rd at 06:00 PM in 200 Stafford Hall. During this mandatory workshop, Graphic Design faculty will discuss the review requirements/process in detail, answer student questions, and show applicants how to correctly resize/export images for submission! Pizza will be served!
WHAT IS THE GRAPHIC DESIGN PORTFOLIO REVIEW?
The Graphic Design Portfolio Review takes place every Fall semester — it is only offered once per year.
It is a closed-door evaluation of your artwork after completion of the following courses in the Department of Art BFA Program (or their transferred equivalent): Design I & II, Drawing I & II, 3D Design,Ìý²¹²Ô»åÌýIntro to Computing Art. Students who are currently enrolled in 3D DesignÌý²¹²Ô»å/´Ç°ùÌýIntro to Computing Art are eligible to apply.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE GRAPHIC DESIGN PORTFOLIO REVIEW?
The enrollment demand for the Graphic Design program is very high and classroom spaces and resources are limited. Only the top students will be selected for entry into the Graphic Design Concentration. Students must pass the portfolio review in order to enter the Graphic Design Concentration.

Students will apply via Submittable. The portal will open on Thursday, October 3rd and close at 11:59 PM CST on Sunday, November 3rd. The portfolio review requirements and process will be reviewed in detail during the mandatory workshop.
