Behind the Scenes: Spring 2023 Introduction to the Business of Museums
Each of the 12 students in the Spring 2023 Introduction to the Business of Museums course at Mississippi 麻豆传媒 University learned about different careers in museums by actually stepping into a professional position found in museums today. During the semester-long assignment, students worked in the Lois Dowdle Cobb Museum of Archaeology to update the layout, displays, and text panels. At the end of the semester they successfully launched a new exhibition and hosted a public reception in the museum.

This is the first of three public works of art to be installed as part of the Starkville Public Art Plan made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts received by the Fred Carl, Jr. Small Town Center.
Upcoming MSU fine arts graduates present 鈥楽treams of Consciousness鈥 exhibition
Open May 6-15, the 鈥淪treams of Consciousness鈥 show includes installations in the art galleries of the Visual Arts Center, Cullis Wade Depot and Colvard Student Union.
